Ruben is a great person who uses the knowledge he learned to create amazing applications. If you go online on the windows phone marketplace you can find 2 Amazing apps all with great reviews. As a side project (hobby) he created a lens application that can turn your photos into 3d. Ruben is very nice and likes to help others. When I am in need of help im not afraid to ask him, i have never left a conversation with him without my questions being answered. Ruben has always found away to fix my application problems ( he puts all his effort to help others) which makes him the most valuable connection I have. He is my inspiration for application development for the platform.

For my internship I worked at the Microsoft Developer Platform Evangelism team as a Windows Phone developer. During this internship we worked as a team on a third-party LinkedIn application wherefore I was responsible for the API calls. Also we created our own application. For me this was Gas Station Finder. This application helps the user to find the nearest gas station and navigates to it. The application downloads KML files with map points to locate the gas stations and displays them on a map. The user can choose a gas station on the map or just navigate to the nearest gas station. For the navigation direction the Bing Maps API will be called. Arrows will be drawn on the map for each turn and the while driving the navigation instructions will appear on the map. Show less
