      In May of 2008, I was hired by the hair extension company, Cinderella Hair Extensions to conceptualize, design and implement creative graphics both print and digital as well as manage all their existing content. ✏️ Print Collateral Working together with the Director of Marketing, we rebranded the company from top to bottom and expanded our method of applying hair extensions from 1 to 6 methods! The director of marketing, being a former hair stylist, himself worked on the application methods and copywrite while I handled the new visual style of the company. I revamped the company logo, literature, brochures, trade show graphics, packaging as well as filmed product demonstration videos. The rebranding was a great success and carried the company forward for several years. Created a printed brochure for the rebranding of the company. Using the principals of visual hierarchy, I turned a Word document into a visually engaging brochure. The new brochure became an important piece of marketing material to promote the company rebrand, as we expanded from 1 method hair extensions to 6 methods. ✏️ Digital Collateral I created an interactive digital brochure for a new product line of hair cutting shears, helping the company successfully launch the new shear line to customers and distributors. The digital brochure became vital marketing material for our sales team as they were unable to interact with customers and distributors in person during the pandemic. ✏️ Video and Multimedia Produced short form videos for our hair extension application and removal processes. The demonstration videos were regularly used in PowerPoint presentations, sales managers included them in their digital marketing packages, and educators were able to use them in seminar presentations.       In January of 2013, the ownership of Cinderella Hair Extensions purchased California Mango, a hand and body care company. My responsibilities were to work with the marketing department on creative direction and brand consistency as well to manage design revisions, approval of artwork and information accuracy. ✏️ Package Design When the decision was made to revamp the packaging for the entire product line (about 80 SKUs in total), I was given artwork from a design studio that laid out the front of one of the products. My responsibility was to complete the design by laying out the back section where the directions, ingredients and barcodes are located, as well as apply the art concept and design to the various sizes of bottles, jars and tubes that we offer. ✏️ Collaborate with Outside Vendors Collaborated and interacted directly with our print vendor on all labels for our products. Through active listening and great communication, I was able maintained a good relationship our print vendor, this was key in finding solutions with our vendor to print labels that match the silk-screened bottles we were receiving from China. ✏️ Trade Show Designs Created signage, backdrop displays and mirages for events and trade shows that led to a raise of brand awareness and generate new leads. These events became a big part of our marketing strategy to create more sales. ✏️ Manage Students and Interns Managed the workflow and project assignments of student interns during the busy months when the company is attending trades shows. As these students help me meet tight deadlines, I help them with design challenges and share the knowledge and experience I have gained from my years of working in the field. Show less

      ✏️ Web Design I created a brand-new website for the company using Shopify. I was responsible for the aesthetics of the frontend to the logistics on the backend. I made a brand guide to keep the color scheme and fonts consistent, as well as created any additional support or thumbnail images needed for the frontend. I also recategorized the products for the website’s navigation and product pages to allow visitors to easily browse over 500 SKUs without feeling confused or overwhelmed. On the backend, I set up the payment method, changed the IP address of the domain to the new site, setup shipping, and wrote the meta data. To help with search results I set Google My Business to claim the company online and provided Google with correct company information, as well as created a Moz account to monitor backlinks. I also set up other Google online tools such as: Analytics, Alerts and Merchant. I then used photoshop to clean up the images and created over 500 product images to be used for the website, as well format high resolution images to be used for printed materials.       Over the last few years, I have worked with the apartment manager at Tahoe Manor on a per project basis creating flyers and large banners for when the apartments have available units, signage for the amenities and special events, as well as revamp the Tahoe Manor main sign located at the front of the property. I have also have filmed walkthrough videos of empty apartment units. ✏️ Floorplan Layout Created floorplans of vacant apartment units for the manager to upload online and email to prospective renters. These became very important for the manager as he was unable to conduct in-person walkthroughs due to COVID restrictions. ✏️ Photography Went on location to photograph an apartment complex and develop high quality images of the new building and units. With these images I created banners and flyers as well as web ready images to upload to apartment listing websites, the apartment manager was able fill the 42 new units. Show less
