 Provided logistics knowledge, experience, and expertise to squadron logistics officers and chiefs of Marine aircraft group and served as the officer in charge of maintaining and managing the group’s mobile equipment assets valued at over $4.7M. Supervised, assisted, and coordinated logistics requirements in support of the Training Exercise Employment Plan (TEEP). Assisted the Mobility Officer with reviewing all surface and airlift requirements from subordinate squadrons for accuracy and timely submission to 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (3d MAW).  Taught, mentored and trained 56 enlisted Marines, ensuring annual training, professional military education (PME), and all administrative actions were completed. Provided seamless throughput of personnel to support the Unit Deployment Program (UDP) and Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force (SPMAGTF) deployments totaling 618 passengers (PAX) and 154 short tons of equipment in deployed and redeployed units. Submitted and supervised the processing of all logistical support requests, including coordination with a higher, adjacent, subordinate, and external units as needed for required support. Commended by ranking Major, “A true subject matter expert in the field of logistics. Logistics Planning Manager

 Key advisor to the Logistics Operations and Exercise Division Chief on transportation requirements and logistical sustainment of Special Operations Forces (SOF) in the Indo-Pacific Region and spanning activities in over 17 nations. Provided the company commander with “experience-based tactical knowledge and administrative guidance that has proven flawless.” Provided logistics planning for Chairman, Joint Chief of Staff, Pacific Command (PACOM) sponsored training exercise, supporting participating SOF units in the PACOM area of responsibility.  Hand-picked to serve as the senior logistics manager at the forward deployed Logistics Support Facility in Singapore.  Successfully provided logistics support to over 1,240 Marines deployed in support of Operations Pacific Eagle-Philippines, the largest bilateral counterterrorism operation outside of the Middle East. Mission focus and tenacity were instrumental in providing uninterrupted logistics support to multiple deployed SOF units.  Effectively re-purposed excess equipment valued at $1.78M. Managed 29 contracts and 50 mutual logistics support requirements valued at $305,260.  Selected as the command’s sole logistics planner for Cobra Gold and recognized by senior leaders for successfully working independently and far forward of the HQs; supported completion of 19 SOF Mission Essential Task Lists (METLS) while working with Thailand armed forces during Exercise Cobra Gold. Noted by ranking Lt.  Chief advisor to senior leadership on facilities management and the Wing’s Unit Deployment Program (UDP). Managed and coordinated all facilities matters on Marine Corp Air Station (MCAS) Futenma (Japan) and managed accurate data per Marine corps order related to facilities issues.  Conducted monthly reconciliation with locally-based Marine groups on all facilities work requests.  Hand-selected to serve as the logistics detachment officer-in-charge, provided key advice to senior leadership on all logistical matters between SOTF-W and Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force-Afghanistan (CJSOTF-A).  Ably advised and assisted the ship’s Combat Cargo Officer in their duties, including the feasibility of support related to Landing Forces embarkation and debarkation plans. Supervised the onload and offload of the embarked equipment and materials onto the ship via the welldeck and flight deck and ensured that Landing Force priorities were maintained. Monitored the ship’s force maintenance, upkeep of troop spaces, and accountability of the Landing Force Operational Reserve Material and ensured the LFORM was not utilized without proper authorization.  Awarded Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for superior performance. Noted by ship’s Commander, “Vazquez continues to impress me with his capabilities and knowledge. As a recruiter I worked in an environment external to the normal Marine Corps post, station, and FMF environments. Typical functions of the recruiter include preliminary screening and administrative processing, scheduling physical examinations, completion of enlistment documents, and maintaining accurate records. As a recruiter I also provided the community with Marine Corps publicity material and assist in civic events. I was stationed in recruiting substation Queens and New York City. Show less
