I am excited to announce that I have just started a new role as an employee at Kuhlman Repko Shipping Amsterdam BV. I recently completed my internship at the company with an 8.5. As I am still in the process of completing Aviation Studies, I will be working part-time at the company. This will allow me to combine my work experience with my education. I will be able to apply the knowledge of the courses at the HvA to my work at the company in the coming six months.

Last week I started my internship at Kuhlman Repko Shipping Amsterdam BV.KR Shipping is an independent shipping agent which provides excellent services to their customers. It is clearly visible to customers as an important part of their strategy reads: we don’t sell a no. Kuhlman strives to develop the companies service excellence on a daily basis. The success of Kuhlman is noticeable due to the fact of rapid expansion and market dominance in the superyacht branch.At Kuhlman each employee is owner of his/her project and is coached act as an entrepreneur. Employees are challenged and educated/trained to get the reach their maximum capacities. Kuhlman is more than a company, we’re a family that work together and care deeply about our company values.Since this is an cooperative internship I will be working for the company, but I will also do research within the company and ultimately provide a report. The goal of this research/assignment is to add value and knowledge to the company by investigating the possibility to setup an airfreight department within the organization. Through my research at KR shipping, I will apply the knowledge I obtained during Aviation Studies into a tangible logistics project relevant to Air Freight operations. I will first-handedly experience the need for flexibility within the aviation industry and develop the skill to be flexible myself. Furthermore, I will learn to creatively search for solutions required in logistics and ultimately work towards optimization of a real-life operations process. With the research I will analyze the logistics of the company and I will get a better understanding of their supply chain. At the end of the research, I will advise how to setup an airfreight department within the company. Show less

Tijdens mijn periode als Pontifex in een studentenhuis van 18 bewoners fungeerde ik als bruggenbouwer. In een klein bestuurtje: 'het Drieschap' zorgden we voor structuur, verdieping en verbinding in huis.
