Sampling and analysis of multi-tracer experiments for characterization of fate and transport processes in karst aquifers. The analysis includes moment and numerical modeling code in excel to provide flexibility in analyzing multiple tracers experiment data, and added sensitivity and uncertainty analysis functions to facilitate multi-model analysis. Field work to install instruments that records hydrological and water quality data. Second Place Overall in 2014 & 2015 ASCE Southeast Student Conference Responsible of organizing and supervising team’s activities, project schedule, quality control, etc. Longitudinal and lateral 2-D analysis allowed designing a canoe that successfully complies with maximum allowable tensional and compressive stresses. Innovative structural approaches allowed obtaining one of the lightest canoes (2015) ever built by the UPRM. Helped developing a post-tensioning system (2014) that improved the canoe’s resistance. First place on Men’s Endurance Race, Men’s Sprint and Second Place on Coed Race. Show less

• Participant of the Educational and Research Internship Program (ERIP) at the US Army Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL), Hanover, NH. During 10 weeks, further development of the Fast All-season Soil STrength (FASST) was performed. FASST is a one-dimensional dynamic state-of-the-ground model created to predict trafficability conditions for military and civilian activities. To improve the model performance, a new schema was developed for mapping USDA and USCS classified soils. A standard mapping between both systems was proposed for all U.S. Army ERDC’s laboratories in an effort to create a standard conversion scheme in soil research efforts. A technical paper was written and published, it is available at ERDC’s online library (ERDC-CRREL TR-15-4). Show less
