Rubaiya Nasrin is a passionate and outstanding professional who keeps regularity in every task that she is responsible for. She is highly dedicated, responsible and sensible person. Her sense of discipline and organized outlook for solving problems and technical skills make her a unique asset for any organisation. Her punctuality adds up value to all the team works. Personally, I have learnt so many things from her and whenever I was stuck into any problem she always supported me hands on level. Her supportive attitude motivated me a lot to aspire to be a researcher. She will thrive high with all the great potential she possesses. As a team player she is always entitled to the task and carefully goes through every details.

I have worked with Rubaiya Nasrin on several projects for a while in Bengal Institute of Architecture, Landscape and Settlements. Throughout this time, she has demonstrated a very strong work ethic. She is incredibly thoughtful, always offering up balanced opinions, carefully considered suggestions, and creative ideas. She is at the same time both a sensible and a rational person when it comes to architecture and design, as she always maintains a balance between the big picture and the important details. Moreover, her Knowledge and experience has enlightened me a lot while working. I would love to recommend her for any of her future endeavors.

It has been a privilege to work on a very unique and special project named “Hidden Heritage: Homes in Dhaka” which forms part of a larger research initiative on “Silent Heritage: Buildings in Bangladesh” focusing on homes and other significant buildings, from the rural to the urban, and from the Mughal to the Modern. A heritage building need not be a monument or landmark building – it can be representative of an epoch or period in the history of the city or a distinctive living style. Buildings included in this project are not immediately identified or recognized as heritage buildings or landmark structures, but they do represent a particular architectural order or hold historical and social significance for the city. Hidden Heritage was initiated and conceptualised by Bengal Institute and the EUNIC Cluster Bangladesh. It has been implemented by Bengal Institute and supported by the EU Delegation in Bangladesh and all members of the EUNIC Cluster Bangladesh. Visit: https://hiddenheritage.org Show less

As part of 'Ando program,2017', I was assigned as a trainee for the prestigious Zenitaka Corporation where I worked for 10 days. During this training, I visited many construction sites and famous projects to learn about modern technology of Japan and how they use local materials. Then, I worked in the office to develop a plan for an office building, the design was supported by strong concept, architectural drawings and presentation drawings. The one month internship was a great opportunity to learn from Aga Khan Award winning architect Jimmy Lim who is known well for sustainable building construction in Asia. I had assisted him in two projects: A renovation project in Penang and a Resort in Bali. In both projects, use of local materials in each context and local building spatial planning was emphasized.
