  Endevica Bio is a biotech startup. Our lead compound, TCMCB07, is a melanocortin peptide that has shown to be efficacious in pre-clinical studies for cachexia, an immune-metabolic wasting syndrome that often accompanies cancer, renal failure, COPD, and a host of other indications. I have been actively engaged with Endevica since 2015. I served as its Chairman for all but year since 2015, but it was not until 2020 that I also embraced the role as its full-time CEO. Endevica has the potential to improve patient outcomes for hundreds of thousands of people every year. I love the other businesses that I have started, but the idea of taking my professional experience and energy and converting it into progress on a drug that may help cancer patients beat their disease - that's a calling, not a job, and I am fortunate to have the chance to work on something as meaningful and motivational. The Endevica journey - moving a drug through regulatory processes, engaging consultants, PR firms, investors, auditors and underwriters - looks not unlike other parts of my journey. At this time, the management team at Endevica believes that we may be one of those rare biotech companies that may be prepared to live a life as a standalone, publicly-held pharmaceutical company. The company's patents are strong and well-considered, and our drugs are efficacious in multiple cancer models in mice as well as non-specific cachexia in companion canine veterinary trials. Endevica anticipates filing its IND for its lead compound in the first half of 2022 and completing Phase 1 by Q1 of 2023. Endevica is back to the bench with its pipeline compounds in early 2022 with more in vivo studies in cachexia and tumor growth reduction in several cancer lines. Show less

  I created 511 Capital as a "startup foundry" and a place for me to put my efforts after selling Battenfeld Technologies to a private equity firm in 2012. 511 Capital built a mothership that finds, funds and operates startups that can function as long-term annuities. Today, with offices in China and the U.S., it provides accounting, IT and other functions to the entities that it starts. Operations include sewing/assembly/warehousing, printing quality, logistics and manufacturing. I played an active role in 511 Capital until the businesses were able to operate without my daily leadership. From 2012- 2019 I led our Chinese design and manufacturing operations, and I led the domestic businesses under 511 Capital's umbrella until early 2021. With each business now on its own growth journey, my role is largely coaching and direction-setting, leaving me free to concentrate on Endevica Bio. This transition was intentional, as the requirements on my time at Endevica Bio were increasing and I had been fortunate enough to recruit and train a wonderful team to manage and grow the sewing facilities.
