Java Course Manager / Tech Lead
-
Nov 2019 - Present
As a manager/tech lead, I have to drive the creation of content for the different courses offered by Baeldung, discussing the best approach to present the material, suggesting improvements both technically and in the presentation of the content, I have to encourage devs to go deeper into the subject to get the most out of it, and of course, I often have to investigate a lot myself to enhance the creative process.

My role is dedicated to creating quality content for the courses offered by Baeldung. Of course, it involves a lot of investigation, as I have to deeply understand the subject under study, and transmit all this knowledge in a clear and brief lesson.

Baeldung writer profile: https://www.baeldung.com/author/gerardo-roza I started contributing to Baeldung’s project by mid-2018, writing articles and tutorials about Java and Spring-related topics.Of course, I have to research and develop quite a lot for each topic in order to fully understand the ins and outs of the subject and to be able to come up with a superlative post.I also have to create code samples and tests cases that help readers comprehend the subject successfully. We're creating a system to help dealerships carry out their numerous tasks and to improve their interaction with clients. We're working with microservices, using Node.js and React.js on most services, Go on a few others, and docker-compose to handle the services infrastructure. Some of the features provided by paraConcesionarias are: * Dead-simple vehicle loading process by pre-loading data based on vehicle's brand and model * Multiposting vehicle ads on several different platforms with just one click (Facebook Catalogs, Mercadolibre, Clasificados La Voz, Olx) * Support for dealership management operations * Publishing vehicle list on our site, with the possibility of embedding the list on the dealership's site Show less

I worked on the Disney account, which is one of the largest and most important clients of the company. I was recategorized from Java Developer Junior (seniority with which you enter by the 'bootcamp' program) to Semi Senior, during the first year of working in the account. I was asked to travel by Disney in early 2016 -along with two other teammates- to their facilities, with the aim of giving support to the release process of the system in which we were working at the time. The internship helped me take my first steps in the professional field. My duties involved helping in the deployment of the computers used in the classes given by the department, creating an authentication system for those machines (using Pearl), I taught office IT courses, and managed the classrooms, helping with the different needs of the professors.
