As a part of the Head Office Claims function of an award winning, Insurance Times Top 15, Insurer I was responsible for:- Investigating all types of liability claims made against insured members, with the view of making a liability recommendation to the Claims Department. This includes large loss and catastrophic claims.- Taking CPR compliant witness statements from all relevant parties. - Carrying out detailed and clear locus investigations. - Investigating complaints made against the NFU Mutual by insured members. Acting as the face of the NFU Mutual by visiting complainants and reporting back the complaint outcome, in line with the Financial Ombudsman Service guidelines.- Investigating allege breaches of procedure and regulatory requirements by NFU Mutual employees and Agency staff as required by the Financial Conduct Authority.- Negotiating settlement with unrepresented claimants as per the ABI Code of Practice for Third Party Assistance.- Building relations within the agricultural and food production industry in the South East.- Generating leads for the in-house Risk Management Service and promoting work place and farm safety to our insured members.

As a part of the South West Regional Service Centre Claims Team of an award winning, Insurance Times Top 15, Insurer I was responsible for:- Handling Motor liability claims up to a value of £75k.- Assisting in the handling of EL and PL claims as required. - Dealing with all unrepresented motor liability claimants in line with the ABI Code of Practice. - Dealing with all Stage 3 Motor MOJ Portal claims with the view of reaching a mutually beneficial settlement before instructing panel Solicitors. This resulted in a saving of over £100k in the 12 months. - Training new employees on motor liability claims.
