During my internship, I was tasked with enhancing the data quality in an Oracle database. To achieve this, I designed a method for improving data quality that is based on the principles of Total Quality Management (TQM). My method is an adapted version of the Total Data Quality Management (TDQM) method, originally designed by Wang. Working closely with my tutor, Fons Wijnhoven (University Twente), we collaborated to develop a scientific paper detailing the implementation of this method. This paper has been accepted for publication at the annual European Conference on Information Systems, where it will contribute to ongoing research in data quality management. Through this experience, I gained a deep understanding of TQM principles, as well as hands-on experience in designing and implementing data quality improvement methods using advanced tools and technologies.
