Exclusive 27-hole, private club currently ranked 62nd on Golf Digest’s Top 100 in the USA List, ranked 36th on GOLF Magazine’s Top 100 in the USA List, and ranked #1 Renovation in the World, last 5 years by Golf Magazine. Originally designed by C.B. MacDonald and A.W. Tillinghast with a recent renovation led by renowned architect Gil Hanse, completed in 2017. The golf and grounds department has a $2.9 million annual operating budget, an extensive practice facility, and additional outdoor amenities (racquet sports, stables/riding, pool) on 336 acres of club property. Future site of 2023 USGA Men’s Mid-Amateur. • Currently overseeing the design phase of a new irrigation system to begin installation in 2021 • Effectively managing and planning all fertilizer and plant protectant applications • Expertly managing poa/bentgrass greens on both native and USGA soil profiles to fast and firm conditions • Supervised an extensive tree removal project prior to greens renovation to create optimal turf growing environments according to USGA recommendations • During renovation, maintained strong daily communication and collaboration with crew of 30+, as well as architects and outside contractors to ensure optimal outcomes • Catapulted club from high-quality to a Top 100 Club through renovations, which has increased overall rounds and club income • Regularly coordinate and communicate tournament scheduling, course conditions, and COVID-19 policies to crew, clubhouse staff, and members • Continually assist with annual budget creation and annual agronomic calendar creation to meet season-long playability standards • Lead the internship program; supervise and train 2-4 interns annually, on turf maintenance practices, communication, and club specifications in hopes of hiring as future assistant superintendents • Periodic contributions to issues of The Legend, the monthly newsletter distributed to club members Show less

Maintained soil moisture, applied fertilizers and chemicals to greens, tees, fairways, rough, and native grass areas. Maintained landscape plantings and trees on the golf course. Experienced the demolition and reconstruction of the clubhouse, pool, and landscape areas.The course was designed by Donald Ross and opened in 1918. Prepared the golf course for the Deutsche Bank Championship, a PGA Tour event held annually. Duties included: pesticide and fertilizer applications to greens, tees, and roughs, moisture management of greens, tees and fairways, management of landscape beds and lawns, and eradication of poa annua and bentgrass from the rough. Experienced the management of a private, PGA Tour owned, 18 hole golf course. Shadowed a Green Section Agronomist while he made Turf Advisory Service visits to several golf courses in the coastal areas of Connecticut, Rhode Island and New York.
