In this role, I have been responsible for the development of project scope, execution, and technical and financial tracking and reporting. I am proficient in all standard project management tools for planning, budgeting, tracking, and reporting. TASK LEAD/ SITE MANAGER I have also served as the Site Manager and/or Technical Lead for more than a dozen large to mid-size geologic and geotechnical investigations ($100,000 to $2,000,000; one to nine months in duration) conducted for mining and industrial sites in the United States, Mexico, Peru, and Chile. As such, I have been responsible for all aspects of the field effort including investigation methodology, quality assurance, health and safety, staffing, scheduling, and cost tracking and reporting. I have been responsible for supervising teams of geologists, engineers, drillers, laborers, and laboratory staff at times numbering close to 100 team members. Investigations included rock coring; permeability testing using hydraulic and pneumatic packers; core logging; geologic mapping; construction of test fills; excavation and logging of test pits and test trenches; sand cone density testing; the construction, staffing, oversight of temporary geotechnical laboratories where density, moisture, gradation, compaction, and plasticity testing were performed; interpretation of geologic and geotechnical data; soil, rock, and groundwater sampling; and development of new investigation strategies when needed.
