PROJECT MANAGEMENTProject scopes have included design for TSF related facilities, dam construction QA, permitting, mine closure support, as well as environmental assessment, remediation, and due diligence. In this role, I have been responsible for the development of project scope, execution, and technical and financial tracking and reporting. I am proficient in all standard project management tools for planning, budgeting, tracking, and reporting. TASK LEAD/ SITE MANAGER I have also served as the Site Manager and/or Technical Lead for more than a dozen large to mid-size geologic and geotechnical investigations ($100,000 to $2,000,000; one to nine months in duration) conducted for mining and industrial sites in the United States, Mexico, Peru, and Chile. As such, I have been responsible for all aspects of the field effort including investigation methodology, quality assurance, health and safety, staffing, scheduling, and cost tracking and reporting. I have been responsible for supervising teams of geologists, engineers, drillers, laborers, and laboratory staff at times numbering close to 100 team members. Investigations included rock coring; permeability testing using hydraulic and pneumatic packers; core logging; geologic mapping; construction of test fills; excavation and logging of test pits and test trenches; sand cone density testing; the construction, staffing, oversight of temporary geotechnical laboratories where density, moisture, gradation, compaction, and plasticity testing were performed; interpretation of geologic and geotechnical data; soil, rock, and groundwater sampling; and development of new investigation strategies when needed. ENVIRONMENTAL AND DUE DILIGENCE PROJECTSI have served as the lead or project manager for several Phase I, Phase II ESAs, and remediation projects. I have worked on due diligence efforts in support of large business acquisitions in multiple countries.
