In this role I'm leading the commercial and logistics team of MVII (total team 13 people). Next to this I was part of the terminal Senior leadership team. I'm commercial responsible for the terminal and all contracts, sales, account management and product development are under my responsibility. Next to commercial, I 'm also responsible for the logistics team. This team is responsible execution wise for all VAS services we are offering (e.g. inland transportation). For the logistics team the responsibility is not only on execution and commercial level, but also on procurement, finance and profability (basically from A - Z). In the last year the focus for VAS was on business development into the domain of inland transportation. In 1 year we estabilshed a network of rail connectings (Venlo, Duisburg, Herne, Tilburg, Eindhoven, Frenkendorf and Wolfurt) with a throughput of ~35.000 containers annually. we approached this as a start-up within the organization and we are now in the journey of mature the organization and bascis, so we can quickly scale-up. In this role I was part of the commercial department. I had all the users of the terminal, except box operators (carriers) under my responsibility. This included the so-called end-users, which are shippers, freight forwarder and barge, rail and truck operator (+1500 accounts). Traditionally container terminals have Carriers as paying customers. In my role I was responsible to develop new tailor made products for this end-user customer group. Goal was to create a new revenue stream coming from the end-users and turn this group of terminal users into paying customers. Internally I did a lot of change management, because the organisation DNA was based on 3 paying deepsea Carrier. In this role my focus were the two terminals in Rotterdam. Show less

Me and my team are responsible for the entire data for every flow on the terminal. For deepsea the team is preparing discharge and load lists. They do the same for barge and rail. We also do the so called ETT flow. This is the transportation of containers from the APM 1 and APM 2 and vice versa. Besides all this the team is responsible for the entire gate (truck) flow.

    • Super user Operations
      • Feb 2013 - Apr 2015

At APMT Maasvlakte II we were building the most innovated and modern terminal in the world. I was part of the project team and working for the department Operations. In the department Operations I was responsible for the entire landside Operations, acting as the Subject Matter Expert. Part of the landside was: Preannouncement (fully automatic), project port community systeem (PCS), ETT (transport between existing APM terminal and the new one), the automatic gate, EDI and customs. For all this functional areas I created requirements, testplans, testcases and procedures. From design until go-live and everything in between, I did for the indicated funcational areas. Show less

    • Proces Controller
      • May 2010 - Feb 2013

Show less

I made a purchase plan for the purchase of on-board computers. I made the selection and recommendations to the management. I also drew up an implementation plan contained an implementation plan. Step 1 of the implementation plan was training the employees of the planning department (this was before the on-board computers had been purchased). Further steps I handed over to my successor as I moved on to my next job. I learned in a later stage that the company had purchased the onboard computers and that the implementation plan was a success. Show less
