This included working with suppliers and members of two community gardens; supervising and tracking volunteers who sort and pack hampers; managing a dynamic list of hamper recipients; overseeing distribution and other aspects of administering the program such as compiling food security and community resources for recipients; and supporting its public profile. Tasks and Responsibilities: -Coordinated with suppliers and community garden volunteers for the delivery of food to be distributed onsite once per week to approximately three-dozen patron households. -Supervised, tracked, and trained volunteers assisting in the distribution; and ensured that orientation and contact information kept current. -Ensured the proper set-up and take-down of the activity, including the maintenance of COVID-safe practices; and assisted with receiving deliveries and packing boxes. -Worked with program and operational staff to recruit and register new patrons. -Undertook real-time tracking of recipients and food distributed; and provided reports to the funding agency as required. -Made and tracked approved supplementary purchases of food and activity supplies. -Assisted publicizing the program; including presentations at meetings and other gatherings. -Produced and provided supplementary nutritional and other information to patrons. -Attended meetings of community partners, and contributed constructively to developing proposals to make Surrey more food secure and literate.
