For the MSc thesis me and a fellow student cooperated with CARE Madagascar to research how the risk of tropical cyclones on the urban landscape can be reduced. During our stay in Madagascar, we organised two workshops for the inhabitants of the study area. These two resulted in a voluntary action group, with who we organised an action day. At this day we dug a drainage channel together with the inhabitants of Vatomandry. During my 6 month internship I had a supportive role in several urban projects. I got the opportunity to visit project areas and accompany colleagues to meetings with stakeholders. My supervisor graded me with a 9 out of 10, motivation: very high quality intern, social, independent, curious and pro-active designer.
