As Innovation Leader at Boroondara, Rowena genuinely created change and innovation within the work culture of Boroondara. Rowena gained the respect of staff members from across the organisation, and created a democratic system where any member of the organisation, at any level, could share an idea, have it voted on by other staff members, work shopped and implemented. For example, one staff member had an idea called 'Random Acts of Coffee' where two staff members would be matched to meet for a coffee once a week. This meant more people from different departments got to know each other, made working together easier and broke down silos. Rather than challenging traditional hierarchies, the new culture of innovation at Boroondara improved the way we worked as it allowed for greater input from more people at all levels of the organisation, made up of people from different departments. It made my job more interesting and I felt like I could genuinely get involved and help implement new ideas. Thank you Rowena!

Rowena understands the nuances of foresight thinking and is adept at finding the gaps to draw out understanding of a range of issues that otherwise we might find difficult to grasp. Importantly she shares these insights in a way that builds foresight capability in her clients for the long term. Whenever the opportunity arises to work or talk with Rowena, I say yes.
