I was SDPO 2nd Officer onboard the Havila Commander with Rowan being the other 2nd Officer, Rowan had been onboard for a few trips before I joined, and helped me greatly with my famialiarasion of the vessel and with the Havila SMS system. Rowan carries out all duties in a very Professional manner, very consientious in the work he does and expects others involved either onboard or for reports going ashore to have the same Professeional manner. Rowan has now got his DP time in for full certificate, while I was onboard he was on the desk with myself for 2 days in Aberdeen bay carrying out Annual trials, which I let him be very involved in, myself being SDPO at this time. Also myself and Rowan went through alot of functions with DP that arent used or tested on alot of DP Supply vessels while waiting to get into platforms. Also made new Checklist forms for the vessel after being picked up during the Audit. Rowan would be a good asset to any company that is looking for a Conscientious Officer and DPO.
