Member of a multidisciplinary team, I participated in all the stages of design, implementation, and validation of Masimo’s acoustic sensor. This sensor is used to continuously monitor biological signs from the respiration signal. I played the role of the bridge between the software team, and the algorithm, hardware, and mechanical teams. - Designed and implemented the software of the manufacturing verification system to functionally test acoustic sensors. (C/C++, Microsoft SQL, Visual studio) • Implemented the code to interface to the hardware, inject vibration, collect sensor signals, characterize the sensor, and store the results in database. • Designed the relational database to store all the results for data analysis and product tracking. - Implemented the firmware running on two prototypes of the wireless acoustic sensor. (C, CC2650/ARM Cortex M0-M3/TI MSP430, BLE/802.15.4/ZigBee, IAR) - Expanded Masimo’s biological data collection system to support acoustic sensor signals. Resulting data is used for offline algorithm development and performance evaluation.
