While pursuing my master's degree at UC Berkeley, I become very interested in an entrepreneurial career path. I conceived the concept of hybrid meat into a full business venture and performed 100+ interviews to find the unmet need in the market. I developed a business model canvas, financial model analysis, along with the pitch to lead the near and long-term business improvements. This work resulted in securing $50K in less than 4 months and winning the People's Choice Award in Collider Cup VIII (the largest UC Berkeley's entrepreneurship competition). Show less

As the assistant operations manager, I worked cross-functionally with the operations and execution team. Through direct collaboration with the president of the company, I identified the manufacturing requirements to apply for IND. And, by supervising the manufacturing employee, I ensured that procedures were followed promptly and accurately. This work resulted in overcoming previous deviations in manufacturing and producing two sets of GMP products that granted us the IND approval.

MediPrint Inc has developed a proprietary technology and ink that allows for the sustained release of ocular drugs via contact lenses. As a laboratory assistant, I helped with making the ink solution over a multi-step procedure and printing the ink on the contact lenses. Further, I performed quality assurance tests on coated contact lenses, documented the findings, and created deviation reports (as needed).

The concept of surface tension has always been a fascinating topic. As an undergrad research assistant, I performed measurements on the surface tension of the liquid-liquid system utilizing a novel method and a unique technology. During this period, I studied the effect of various droplet concentrations on surface tension and created a behavioral trend relating the droplet concentration and the droplet stability together. As the R&D summer intern, I assisted a group of product developers and chemical engineers in developing new fruit cups flavors and creating a new extension for the morning snacks cups. I got involved with formulation development and manufacturing for internal taste tasting. Also, through direct collaboration with Senior R&D Projects Manager, I updated 100+ nutrition labels in the R&D system for United States, Canada, and Mexico products to meet labeling regulations.
