Production Operator
-
Sep 2021 - Jan 2022
At the Drinkworks Creation Center for Bedford Systems, I worked as a Production Operator alongside a team of some of the most knowledgeable, capable, and accountable operators and Tech Service teams. In my short time with the company, I learned the basic changeover and operation of our packaging line, end of line operations for our filling lines, and basic quality control (QC) functions. I also helped with daily, weekly, and month sanitation processes, assisted other team members in starting to create autonomous maintenance documentation for our packaging line, reviewed updates of SOP documentation for our fill lines, and worked with other team members on 5S, red tag, plant organization, and continuous improvement processes. Production Line Lead
-
May 2021 - Sep 2021
As line lead, I directed and worked alongside a team of individuals bottling, labeling, and packaging maple syrup. I worked to ensure proper paperwork and material records as well as line set up and end of day tasks. I was integral in changeover processes and the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of all line components.Another facet of my job was in managing and training our growing team of staff as the company expanded. I also worked closely with the quality personnel, and was responsible for the quality of products we are producing on each given day, ensuring quality checks were performed every hour (or more frequently with new employees).Additionally, I strived to keep clear communication channels with our Finishing Dept., Shipping and Receiving Dept., and our CEO and acting Director of Operations. Production Associate

Jan 2021 - May 2021
I assisted a small team of other employees to bottle and palletize finished maple syrup and WIP product. We strove to make line operations as efficient as possible while still maintaining quality and safety standards. I implemented changeovers/set up and maintenance tasks (using basic hand tools and computerized settings to adjust the line for different bottles weekly if not daily), operated our brand new 20ft labeler, and worked to monitor and troubleshoot several of our bottling line components. I worked as part of team to insure that KDP produced and packaged coffee up to regulations to fill orders. I operated packing equipment within a production environment while adhering to safety and quality guidelines and specifications. I kept machines stocked with the proper materials for each job and worked to troubleshoot mechanized equipment in order to build pallets of finished goods. This role required me to have a basic mechanical aptitude, to adapt quickly, to act as a form of quality control, and to help train new team members when assigned. Show less

Assistant Supervisor

May 2016 - Jul 2017
I helped to facilitate the everyday operations of archaeological fieldwork at the Galick site in West Haven, Vermont. These duties included carrying out the proper excavation and screening techniques, the handling, washing, and sorting of artifacts, and the successful setup and breakdown of necessary equipment. I helped to implement techniques and to manage students in grades 3-8, as well as college students and the many volunteers that came out to the site or into the lab. This work was over the course of two summer internship terms (May- August 2016, May-July 2017) through Castleton University with the South Champlain Historical Ecology Program. Show less
