Plant Manufacturing Engineering role reporting directly into the Plant Engineering and C.I Manager. My role is split across all 4 primary functions of the engineering department and works heavily with the Quality, Logistics, Maintenance and Manufacturing departments.The first is as Lead Engineer on all ‘New Product Introduction’ customer platforms including JLR, GM, BMW and Toyota. This role involves the specifying, procurement and industrialisation of new production cells and bespoke end-of-line assembly equipment and processes, which deliver robust and capable products that meet the requirements of the business and all customer approval processes in line with ISO9001/TS16949.The second is as a Process/Industrial Engineer focusing on the improvement of plant availability, production performance and the reduction of scrap with the use of 1-1-1 Standardised work, and continuous improvement and process engineering tools.The third is as the lead Plant Facilities Engineer responsible for the project management, budget control and installation of all new and existing machinery with accompanying services infrastructure including civil activities. The final role is as the Plant Robotics specialist focusing on the installation and commissioning of new robotic cells with the use of Offline and Online Programming methods.In addition to the 4 primary functions of the role I am also heavily involved in technical support to other departments including Maintenance and I.T.
