Working on a variety of drilling rigs primarily in the North Sea but also offshore Morocco, Egypt land, and remote operations for Europe and Africa for a variety of both multinational and independent clients. I was responsible for setting up data acquisition systems, preparing and running downhole drilling tools, collecting drilling and formation evaluation data, processing data and delivering it to the client. Ensured high quality service delivery in a safe and streamlined manner. • Lead MWD engineer on highly successful $4 billion EnQuest Kraken project. Integral in ensuring smooth operation during busy and complex batch drilling operations by implementation of organised and structured work methods to be adopted by entire MLWD crew. • Adapted to new and challenging role of directional driller when working in Egypt. Had to quickly learn on the job with very little assistance, working long hours and communicating with the client and drilling crew through basic English and Arabic. • Supervised and trained junior engineers through on the job training. Passed on information in a clear manner and stayed as long as required to ensure junior engineer was comfortable with task. • Maintained good relationships with clients through clear and effective communication and managed client expectations. • Managed overall service delivery by being wellsite focal point for service support teams such as management, logistics, data delivery and maintenance. • Monitored data for anomalies and quickly acted to troubleshoot faults. Under intense time pressure I learned to think clearly and act efficiently in order to minimize impact to cost and reputation. Show less
