    • Junior Mining Engineer
      • Jul 2012 - Aug 2012

Accompanied lead mining engineer for ENRC’s project to open several multi-million tonne per annum, open cast coal mines in the Tete province of Mozambique. Time was split between ENRC’s regional offices in Johannesburg and staying on camp in the Tete bush. Dealt with the various contractors involved with the mine project during time in Johannesburg, which gave invaluable insight and experience of how such an operation is planned and implemented. 4 weeks was spent on camp, in the Tete province of northern Mozambique. While there, was actively involved in the ground investigation on the future mine, tailings dump and processing plant footprint. This provided experience in the geological, hydro-geological and geotechnical investigations as well as allowing for involvement with the drilling and Y-logging of the network of boreholes throughout the site. This gave extensive practical experience of the ground investigations conducted to obtain the relevant data with sufficient confidence in order to produce a Bankable Feasibility Study. At the end of the time with ENRC, the company required the production of a report on the content of the investigations while on camp and how these investigations came together in the mine planning/Feasibility study stage.
