      After a few years as Engineering manager, I was presented with the opportunity to be General manager of FASTEN8 Assembly Systems. To date, our company has seen great growth in team members, sales, in-house services, supply chain and support network.       My role as Engineering manager was to oversee all technical aspects of the engineering team which included:- Managed all equipment build from initial concept to design approval, build, acceptance run-offs, installation & after sales support. - Worked with logistics managers to implement a robust supply chain for consumables sold by the company. - Lead a team of engineers to develop custom controls & hardware platform using open architecture software for IEC 61131-3 PLC code. - Impementation of OPC-UA to enable all equipment for I4.0. - Developed digital partners for all standard products which is sold as project add-ons. - Develop standard function libraries, sequences and HMI screens for all FASTEN8 Standard Products. - Lead controls team to develop the FN8 Megabus which is can be used to communicate between almost any industrial communication protocol. - Responsible for all product design and implementation. Over 22 engineering products taken from conceptual review to successful onsite customer installation & buy-off. - Scandalised CNC centre to work exclusively with Haas equipment. - Designed & built companies first large scale (1220mm) 3D industrial printer to make large scales parts from various materials. - Managed service team which included customer visits, VMI for spare parts & continuous improvement.
