Bio
Ahmad Childress
Ross is one of the most knowledgable writers on the subject of genre films that I have ever encountered. Just put him in touch with an actor, director, production designer or writer and he well deliver an interesting and engaging content item. His articles are well researched and will spark conversations in readers and (occasionally) news items on other sites.

For Lucasfilm's website (Starwars.com), I updated articles I had written in previous years about The Star Wars Holiday Special, both for Filmfax and SFX magazines. I also provided new illustrations. This was on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the "Holiday Special," which aired in 1978. I did feature stories on such movies as The Lord of the Rings (first and third films), Shrek, and the first Sam Raimi/Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movie (2002). I also covered Ray Harryhausen's 2002 project The Tortoise and the Hare. Another subject I reported on was special venue films including Terminator 3-D; It's Tough to be a Bug; and Honey, I Shrunk the Audience! For Femme Fatales I interviewed various actors and crew members on Sid & Marty Krofft's attempted remake of Electra Woman and Dyna Girl. Among them, Sid Krofft and Markie Post. Actress and top model Barbara Carrera was the subject of another interview. Show less

I reported on a wide variety of subjects in North Orange County (all of which involved interviewing people): including an art show, museum exhibits, a survey and report on local horse stables, Cal State Fullerton's (then-new) Entertainment major, Fullerton's Hub hang-out, and an update on a victim of Tourette's Syndrome who was tormented by peers in grade school.
