  Here is where I really learned the value of communicating with clients to achieve a focused vision for their project in order to realize possible options available for the finished product. I also experienced the in-and-outs of negotiating compensation. I developed a system in which I set personal deadlines and recorded self-managed work logs. Entering the Freelance world, so soon after graduation, gave me a whole new appreciation for networking. Though it was tough at times I learned the importance of promoting my abilities with current and prospective clients and utilizing networking and references to find work.

  As an intern I worked on numerous different projects employing the range of my abilities. A Graphic Designer quickly learns to be flexible and equip themselves with the knowledge to work in a mass array of media. From printed logos to T-shirt designs, online advertisements, and web stores; I grew confident in applying a focused design approach to any new experience a project might offer. I handled coordination with team members to prioritize work activity and identify obstacles in the way of completing a project. Sometimes jumping into an uncompleted project halfway can be just as rewarding as managing a project from start to finish, as an intern I would be needed to complete a project at any stage and remain aware of any deadlines tied to it.
