Specifically: disseminate business listings to the County's 20+ job centers for the following types of businesses: (a) expanding businesses (those that might hire County job center clients); (b) contracting businesses (to save jobs and companies before closures and to assist them more quickly when layoffs and closures are unavoidable); and (c) business that may pre-qualify for government aid programs but are not aware. • Give public presentations on labor market info to other County departments that engage in job hiring programs. • Manage the County's Layoff Aversion program and its contract agency, the Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC). Oversee four (4) service areas and am approximately $350,000 annual program budget.   • For my thesis project my research team and I are working with the LAPD Foundation to review policies to address drunk driving in Los Angeles County. • Analyzing 200,000+ DUI arrests in LA County from 2008 to 2013 to analyze trends and improve outcomes. • Relying on cost-effectiveness analysis to determine the best combination of supervision and services to address this subgroup of drunk drivers with a particular focus on implementation.
