Key role in expediting Yarra Valley Water’s construction works to ensure no overlap of construction phases with the Project. • Management of flora and fauna studies, targeted surveys and the Federal referral under the Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Act. • Acquisition of cultural heritage and environmental permits at the State and Local government levels. • Chairperson of tender evaluation panel for Stage 2 of the Project. • Early stakeholder engagement including meetings with affected landowners and businesses.

  • Assisted in the preparation of the Request for Tender documentation for the West Gate Distributor – Stage 1 (WGD) project.• Chairperson on the evaluation panel of the tenders for the WGD and co-ordination of an evaluation assessment panel to assess the quality of urban design of the submissions. The Urban Design evaluation panel included the Victorian Government Architect and provided key recommendations which significantly influenced the contract award outcome.• Management of preconstruction risks to prevent delays to the Contractor. Risks included:- The acquisition and access to land owned by the Port of Melbourne, the Department of Environment, Land Water and Planning, Maribyrnong City Council and Parks Victoria.- The in-principle agreement for the relocation of an overhead power line to the acceptance of the landowners (Port of Melbourne and Maribyrnong City Council) and the asset owner Jemena.• Review of the Contractor’s detailed design including the co-ordination of the upgrade of a pedestrian bridge proposal to improve the urban design and amenity outcomes for the local community. This task involves liaison with key stakeholders with an interest in the urban design of the bridge to ensure all parties were pleased with the final product.• Lead discussions around the use of weathered steel in the pedestrian bridge. The use of weathered steel as structural members of the bridge was a first for VicRoads.
