My role is to be at the forefront of providing a pleasurable experience for customers whether it be serving people or waitressing. I also have financial responsibilities ranging from using the till or collecting money for a number of raffles. Additionally, I maintain the cleanliness of the bar area. I am constantly interacting with colleagues and customers and therefore my ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals is constantly expanding. I work as part of a team and I have also been asked to help train new employees. Furthermore, I have undertook a number of creative roles such as bar displays and also organised an event with a group of peers. I am currently organising numerous fund raising events with colleagues to take place in September in aid of local charities in Grangetown.

One Weeks Work Experience

Juni 2015 - Juli 2015
I revisited the firm to get a greater insight into the role of a Criminal Lawyer. I attended both Cardiff Magistrates and Crown Court. Additionally, I was given the opportunity to meet clients in the cells. I learnt that Criminal Defence Lawyers have a different way of interacting with clients compared to those who practice in areas such as Corporate Law. However, it is apparent that what ever field of Law you practice, hard work and professionalism is paramount. I revisited the firm to get a greater insight into the role of a Criminal Lawyer. I shadowed a number of Lawyers at the firm in the Magistrates Court in Cardiff. This gave me insight into how the English Legal System operates and also how Barristers and Lawyers preform in Court. Moreover, I sat in on a meeting with a client before a court hearing. The experience made me appreciate the role Lawyers and Barristers play in the legal system and how professionalism is a key aspect in their career. Eversheds Unlocked Programme
-
Apr. 2012 - Apr. 2012
During this placement I gained an insight into how a commercial law firm operates. I participated in Q&A sessions with many different professionals in the legal system. I took part in a moot with other people on the programme which enhanced my public speaking skills. I honed these skills further in an individual presentation I did in front of my peers and senior partners of the company. Finally, I learnt the rules of social etiquette and the importance of networking. During this placement I gained an insight into how a commercial law firm operates.
