Assistant Head Academic
-
Apr 2016 - Present
I hold overall responsibility for academic and co-curricular achievement at this busy school in Mid Sussex. English teacher at heart, I am interested in creativity, collaboration and soft skill development both within and beyond the classroom. I am passionate about debating, encouraging outward-looking and socially conscious young women to use their voice and participate in making positive change. Deputy Head Academic

Sep 2011 - Apr 2016
I was a founding member of Claremont Senior School, part of a young, energetic leadership team that built a successful independent school in a climate of financial recession, from the ground up. I established every academic system and process from scratch at Claremont, recruiting and developing a confident, happy team of teachers used to delivering to a high standard, on a tight budget. Under my academic stewardship, the school achieved an ‘outstanding’ from Ofsted in 2012.
