Responsibilities: Ensured quality for the data team as an embedded QE, allowing data scientists to connect to a variety of data sources (databases), and integrating our platform with existing tools they use. Accomplishments: Wrote automation in Python-based Cucumber framework and the Rainforest QA platform, updating tests as changes occurred to the UI. Performed Exploratory testing on a massive new feature, feast feature-store integration, filing 50 bugs in the process and verifying the bugs were resolved. Collaborated with product managers for User Acceptance Testing (UAT), setting up cloud-based environments for the Domino application and providing detailed test steps. Oversaw biweekly releases, ensuring that all tests pass before I could sign off on any data team releases.   Company Overview: Qualtrics is an online survey platform, that handles many covid-19 surveys online. Responsibilities: Responsible for quality on the tickets team as an embedded QE, an extremely utilized part of the Qualtrics platform. Whenever a user would take a survey, under specific circumstances, a follow up ticket would be generated. Accomplishments: Improved the pass rates of our E2E automation from below 50% when I started, to above 95% a few months later, surpassing the standard 90% pass rate to account for flakiness. Migrated over three hundred tests from our Javascript framework into our Python framework that used the page-object model, modernizing our testing strategy. Optimized our tests by converting 30% of our UI tests into API or integration tests, preserving the integrity of the testing pyramid and maximizing efficiency. Spearheaded the Tickets & Surveys integration project, collaborating with the survey QE’s to brainstorm and execute over two hundred test cases, guaranteeing the quality of our final product.   Responsibilities: Developed for the Census Bureau’s Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) project, building regression tests for over 40 services from the ground up. Transitioning from using manual testers to automated scripts in order to move towards Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), a process in which all code changes automatically cause the system to perform a regression test. Accomplishments: Completed a full regression test / delivery of our Managed File Transfer service, a complicated service which allows efficient and encrypted file transfers within census agencies. Converted API requests from the SOAP/XML format to REST/JSON format, moving away from outdated technologies into a more sustainable forward-looking approach. Generated Detailed Excel/HTML reports after regression tests were performed, letting developers know instantly if their code changes were pushed, or told them why the test failed, providing screenshots. Accomplishments: Redesigned 3 major modules in the application, adding new functionality, updating SAIL interfaces and CDTs. Effectively led the 2018 validation push, creating MySQL stored procedures for data validation, and updating old procedures to maximize efficiency. Flawlessly deployed updates and ensured that there were no merge conflicts and that code changes functioned through all environments. Fully supported in the creation of Import/Export tools to both Excel and HTML for several modules. Tactfully implemented Zephyr test cases to preform unit, regression, and smoke tests on mine and my teammate’s code changes. Show less
