  This lab is generating an exciting set of complimentary high-through approaches to assay transcriptional and epigenetic changes in response to environmental challenge in both male and female flies. Flies are an ideal model system to understand how experiences affect biology. Gene expression has been assayed using deep RNA sequencing, revealing insights about total levels of mRNA and non-coding transcripts, as well as individual isoforms. Data analytics is performed on received data to find patterns and trend among samples.
