I know that this isn't the field for which she is applying, but I wanted to say that as a piano teacher, Rose Tobiassen reached my kids in a way no one has before or since. She showed incredible patience and communication skills, which would be valuable attributes in any field.

As a Grants & Partnerships Associate for Educate!, I had the opportunity to work closely with Rose and watch her continued contribution to the organization. As a teammate, Rose single handedly managed a variety of complex tasks, while also remaining attuned to the specific needs of the larger External Relations team. Her perceptive and supportive personality, coupled with her impeccable project management skills, shined when Rose was appointed my interim manager, only 6 months into our time at Educate!. In this new role, Rose took on the management of not one, but two Associates, and met with us weekly to build out our work plans and prioritize projects with competing priorities. In our year and a half together, I admired Rose’s ability to remain cool under pressure and to never lose sight of the big picture, while keeping track of minor details in her highly detailed spreadsheets! She is an excellent problem solver, who many of us turned to for a creative brainstorming session, reveling in her unique ability to leave us feeling energized and eager to jump into complex projects. I was extremely lucky to have Rose as a co-worker and manager during my time at Educate! and can honestly say that I grew tremendously through her compassionate leadership and support. She is a true joy to work with and is an asset to any team.
