Rosemary Keane is a writer, editor, and social media marketing professional who made a big positive impact through her contributions to my blog, Positively Pottstown. She understands what it takes to put together a compelling story, and she will do the research and have the conversations to make it happen. In addition to her storytelling talent, she is simply an open-minded, fun, can-do person to have on your team. I highly recommend her! Sue Repko

I love showing my clients what is amazing about their business. Most entrepreneurs, and especially most non-profits, are so busy working and hustling that they forget to highlight the basics and the mission that matter most. Social media is the newest platform, but quality content still matters, in fact it matters more when you have only a few lines of text, a photo, or a comment to connect with your community.I offer my clients a range of content and social media services including: Social Media content creation and posting Social Media strategy Newsletter creation and distribution CRM set up and maintenance Fundraising campaign support Recent clients include Operation143 (October 2021-present) and Pottstown FARM (05/2019-11/2021)

After decades in the floral industry, I took the leap and created 3rosebuds floral, a wedding and event only floral company. We bring the creative visions of our couples and customers to life with attention to detail, personal service, and years of experience, with the small-shop focus on just one event at a time. We also offer creative workshops for groups of all kinds: girls' nights out, baby and bridal showers, holiday parties, and corporate team and creativity building. In 2018 we rolled out FLOWER SCHOOL, an online resource for creative ideas and instruction.

As a freelance writer, my jobs have varied from week to week, month to month. Sometimes, I find myself writing press releases for local organizations, while other times, I am researching and writing an e-book on how to brew your own beer, make bio-diesel fuel in your garage, or even use self hypnosis to increase your fertility. I work hard to exceed my clients' expectations both in content and in punctuality. Even when the subject matter is less than thrilling, I make sure to enliven the copy so that it makes for interesting reading. I have extensive experience with SEO writing and working those hard to place words into sentence after sentence to generate more website hits. It can be difficult to make SEO writing sound natural and interesting, but I have the experience to handle it. In addition to freelancing for clients, I have a few of my own projects in the works which keeps my writing skills sharp and varied.

Worked in collaboration with blog founder to promote the Borough of Pottstown and highlight the positive things happening in our wonderful, but flawed hometown. Focusing on forward thinking ideas and plans, developed story ideas that would display the good in Pottstown. Assisted in the long range planning for the blog and covering events in the downtown and beyond. Worked on a project with the Penn State Extension as an outreach of the Health and Wellness Foundation of Pottstown to visit and evaluate the parks and outdoor recreation areas outlined in a study made by Penn State. Visited the sites and, with the help of my children as guinea pigs, checked out the amenities, or lack of amenities, detailed in the study. Wrote articles about each of these visits, giving the parks a human evaluation. Some of the parks were absolutely wonderful, while others were a little more creepy than what I would want for a family outing. The articles in the park series were wonderful to write and they are still very popular among people who are searching for places to go with their families or on their own for recreation.

Worked as freelance reporter for several imprints of newspapers that fall under the Berks-Mont Newspapers umbrella. Had several stories, including the first one I wrote, picked up for The Mercury, the local daily paper. Covered school board meetings for Boyertown School District and wrote articles detailing the events for the weekly paper in the area, The Boyertown Times. Attended and reported on school board activities, including a few controversial meetings, one of which even ended with a fistfight breaking out in the parking lot over the district's decision to change bus companies. Worked hard to ensure that even the more mundane meetings would be covered in a thorough and engaging way.
