  During my time in the upstream department, I was mainly working on design of experiment studies (DoE) to determine the best conditions for the fermentation of E. coli based on their wet cell weight pre and post induction. I was also primarily responsible for inoculating shake flasks and starting the seed culture the night before the four DoE runs.
