Sales Assistant
-
Jun 2017 - May 2018
My role here was a Sales Assistant. I used my confidence, product knowledge and sales capabilities to guide customers on what we described as a ‘journey to finding the perfect gift’. This allowed opportunities to boost sales & profitability for the company and ensuring each customer would get a service most tailored to their needs. I had to be attentive and considerate, not only to share some of their happiest moments (like celebrating engagements) but also sometimes to commemorate. My role here was a Sales Assistant. Jun 2016 - Feb 2017
This was a B2B telesales role. It was very rewarding to be able to fundraise for this very worthy cause. Daily I would be designated a post-code. During conversations, I would recount the youngsters’ and their families’ trials and tribulations to gain funds for life-changing equipment, holidays and sometimes basic necessities. Events Manager and Sales Coordinator
-
May 2014 - Jun 2016
I came back to the position of sales coordinator. I would obtain bookings, arrange events, upsell products, dress and organize decorations, seating and food plans. As well as being a hostess for all the parties, I would run food and prepare a vast array of cocktails. I would have a team to delegate to and support to ensure the best experience was had by all. I would also preform cocktail masterclasses for up to 25 individuals, single-handedly. Training customers to create their own beverages whilst keeping them entertained and safe. It was crucial that I had great knowledge of the products on offer and capability to recommend suitable options and services available. This was recognized by my manager, he then put me forward to take my personal license - so I could be left to lead a team and service. Show less

Community Support Worker
-
Sep 2012 - May 2014
I played an integral part in this team and had a lot of positive influence over vulnerable adults. This was a position with great responsibilities. I would need to work from my own intuition often and sometimes under life-threatening circumstances. For this reason, I attended constant refresher-courses for medicine administration, epilepsy & diabetes awareness, safeguarding and instruction of equipment use. I had to work strictly to the Law and company policies and procedures and sensitively implement these into my services users’ everyday life, ensuring they had their own independence where able. Room Leader
-
Jun 2010 - Jun 2012
Here I played the part of team support and room leader for children from newborn to preschool ages. I would take them from early morning until 6 ‘o’ clock in the evening. My responsibilities here were crucial to the children’s safety and development. The duties included: Getting the children settled into the new environment and get them to socialize with others safely. Feeding them healthy & balanced meals and promote the importance of doing so. Keeping them active and stimulated, developing their cognitive and social skills. I would prepare them for primary school by teaching them the basic number and letter work so they were able to pronounce, read and write. I would have to follow strict policies and procedures to ensure all children were kept safe under my care by filling out daily activity diaries for each child as well as incidents forms if and when needed. I attended constant refresher courses on safeguarding, autism awareness, allergy awareness, first aid and fire safety. I was liaising constantly with outside agencies such as police, social workers, speech therapists and physiotherapists. I was also entrusted to take the children off-premises, enabled to teach them self-awareness and road safety. Show less
