LearningWorks reimagines learning through innovative programs that help children, adults, and families realize their potential and build thriving communities. As Office + Facilities Manager, I ensure that the needs of our five free programs are met on an administrative level, in addition to serving as liaison between all LearningWorks staff and our technology consultants. Reporting directly to our Executive Director, I look to balance the needs of these five very different programs and coalesce information and operations into a cohesive communication strategy and forward thinking plan for the improvement of all organizational aspects. One of the biggest areas of growth I’ve experienced while at LearningWorks has been the oversight of the large-scale renovation project taking place at our historic headquarters at 181 Brackett St in Portland’s West End neighborhood. I serve as the chief point of contact for all vendors, construction personnel, and maintenance staff. Show less

Print: A Bookstore is Portland’s newest independent bookstore, located at the base of Munjoy Hill. Hired as a bookseller, I was promoted to Events Coordinator within my first year. Print is a progressive, community-oriented bookstore that endeavors to curate a diverse, inclusive selection of books. In addition to connecting with and working closely with the authors throughout their individual events, one area that I actively promoted was the connection to the greater Portland community and our community outreach through charity events. Some of the organizations we were able and proud to collaborate with were: Mechanics’ Hall, Full Plates Full Potential, and Indigo Arts Alliance. Print hosts over 100 events per year, and it was my job to facilitate the entire process— from pitching to the publishers up through introducing the authors on the night of the event. The highlights included successfully managing multiple events with over 100 people in attendance. Show less
