Nick Holdsworth
Rosa was responsible for overseeing the people engagement and communication activities across Australia and International Delivery (AUID). The team is large and diverse, with over 3,500 people located in both Australia and internationally. This creates additional challenges to drive inclusive, overarching initiatives and outcomes given the diverse range of teams, cultures, and capabilities. However, Rosa’s consistent approach, innovative ideas and collaborative and supportive working style enabled myself, the leadership team and the broader AUID team to organise and deliver a number of very effective employee engagement programs and activities. In the last quarter of FY20 alone, we saw a +8 improvement in our engagement scores which was in large part enabled through the programs devised and lead by Rosa. By keeping employee engagement as a regular agenda item at the leadership team meetings, we saw our participation rates increase significantly as well (from 40% in March to 74% in June). This uplift was critical in improving the broader organisations engagement score. Some examples of Rosa's work are: - Leading and implementing a ‘Thank You’ campaign to thank our front line teams for their support during the bushfire season and COVID-19. - Doing deep dive analysis of the monthly Experience Pulse surveys and working with the leadership team to design and implement initiatives resulting from the verbatims. - Driving a significant uplift in Yammer participation through delivery of consistent and engaging content to not only reach the wider AUID audience but also to keep the team connected as we moved to a work from home environment globally. - Designing an engagement strategy that has been used as a template within other lines of businesses. - Working collaboratively with the PowerFactory to deliver an innovative Power App solution to help the leadership team to easily review and vote on Quarterly Awards – this is being scaled out across the broader organisation My latest feedback to Rosa was as follows: "Thanks for the opportunity to provide feedback Rosa. You meet commitments, are always willing to assist and put a lot of thought and passion into the work you do for the team to drive advocacy - not easy with a large and diverse team. You've helped us put structure around some of the more subjective challenges we have been dealing with. I've seen your confidence grow a lot over the past year - and look forward to seeing it develop further as you come to appreciate the value that you are able to offer to the team. Don't be afraid to speak your mind, share your opinions or to hold us all accountable to our commitments".
