  Deputy Manager: In addition to my responsibilities in my previous role, as a deputy manager I am now expected to assist the manager in the day to day running of not only the lab but also all aspects of the site including stores and accessioning. My daily duties include sending shift reports, corresponding with other sites and handling any issues that may arise within the lab. Clinical Laboratory Analyst: I have taken on this role at our site in Liverpool specialising in biochemical testing. In doing so am now working alongside a team of analysts who specialise in Imola testing in addition to Urisys and Sysmex analysers. my role at this site includes sample preparation such as separating blood products in preparation for analysis, analysing urine samples and whole blood. Daily it is my responsibility to prepare samples for transportation to other sites for specialist testing and update our live tracking form. Processing new samples through LIMS in preparation for analysis. Setting up Imola analysers at the start of the shift by assessing reagent levels and when needed replacing said reagents, in doing so stock lists are also updated and adjusted accordingly. Running samples through analysers and processing results.
