Rosamund was my maths tutor for most of my secondary school years. I went from failing at the subject to achieving A* in my GCSE, choosing to study maths at A-level and eventually even studying it at degree level. None of this would have been possible without Rosamund, she taught me to believe in myself and my abilities and above all her infectious passion for the subject helped me to enjoy learning maths - something I had never thought possible! I would highly recommend Rosamund as someone who can transform the lives of students through her teaching and I have no doubt that she would be a great asset to any team.

I considered myself very fortunate to be paired with Ro in a double for Great Britain at the Under-23 World Rowing Championships in 2008. We were both balancing our training with our university studies which required excellent time-management and organisation skills. Ro has a steely determination and a quiet competitiveness which enables her to push herself and those around her to the highest level of performance. Ro is an excellent team player and has a great sense of humour. I can see how the skills she developed as an elite athlete and her natural inclination towards helping others will have made her an excellent and inspiring teacher. Ro was dedicated to her maths studies when we trained together and her students are very lucky to have someone who as passionate as she is about her subject.

Secondary Maths teacher with experience teaching all year groups from year 7 to year 13, including Further Maths. I also have run the Oxbridge preparation classes for the last few years, preparing students for STEP, MAT and TMUA exams. I contribute to the extra curricular activities at the school including helping with the school boat club and the quiz club. I particularly enjoy the competition side, and my students have been successful both in rowing and quiz competitions in recent years.

I worked as a Maths tutor to many students alongside competing in the British rowing team. I tutored all levels from 11+ to A level, STEP preparation and adult education. I loved seeing my students progress, and had a number of students who chose to continue with Maths beyond GCSE after discovering how much they enjoyed learning and properly understanding the subject with me. In this role, I honed my teaching skills, but also learnt how to effectively manage parental expectations, communicate well with parents and students and organise my time well. Show less
