  The subject of my major research paper (MRP) is focused on assessing social and ecological sustainability initiatives located in the Greenbelt region of Ontario and to tell the story how how these initiatives have successfully impacted their communities or the causes they serve in addressing local/ regional challenges related to local agriculture, Ontario ecological restoration and conservation, and the significance of empowering Indigenous led sustainability initiatives. This MRP aims to examine what it means for a sustainability initiative to be "successful" in how it applies innovative, creative and collaborative approaches to effectively address sustainability challenges, achieving greater equity, socio-ecological system integrity, resilience, and increased opportunity in the process. Engaged in conservation and restoration efforts by collaborating with the Conservation Specialist such as: assessing the health and biodiversity of various ecosystems, develop and administer key restoration projects in degraded areas, maintain populations of invasive plants, and monitor the success of native plant populations. My greatest achievement in this position would be the organization and development of a restoration area during the summer of 2019, revitalizing a degraded area by removing invasive species, planting and maintaining the success of native plants throughout the season, turning the area into a educational and recreation space for the conservancy.
