Reporting to the Global Financial Controller, I joined Edge by Ascential™ as the first in-house Financial Controller (EMEA) a few months after Edge was established as a division of Ascential PLC. Edge By Ascential™ is the amalgamation of 4 newly acquired entrepreneurial businesses. My role included: • Quickly established and implemented processes and controls and streamlined tasks across the four legacy entities and delivered monthly reporting to a strict timetable. • Implementation and management of balance sheet reconciliations for each entity. • Assistance with year end audit schedules and PBC lists as requested by the auditors. • Supporting the Commercial Finance team with respect to investigating and resolving variances to forecast. • Review EMEA payroll process and posting respective payroll journals. • Preparation of all EMEA journals for month end. • Ad-hoc Projects
