  I have worked in two teams in Citi; the Platform Team within Rates and the Security Master Central ETL (SMC ETL) team within the Institutional Clients Group. I have one year of experience on each team. In the Platform Team I worked primarily in the UNIX environment, and gained experience of technologies such as Git, Bitbucket and uDeploy. I also gained general knowledge of firewalls and proxy plugs, raising requests to open connections from within Citi to 3rd party vendors. In supporting our "Platform" application I often dealt with and handled user queries. I worked on some Unix scripting to help automate certain manual processes. For the past year, I have been working in the SMC ETL team. This team uses an ETL tool called Ab Initio to facilitate high-volume processing of reference data for use by traders and other downstream users. Work in this team has included fixing bugs within data feeds, making feed enhancements and providing other support to feeds. The team is also in a long-term process of migrating from Ab Initio to a new software, Talend. I have been involved in some of the testing to ensure that data is being processed properly by the new application. Other technologies include SQL Developer for data manipulation and retrieval, and Autosys for job scheduling.
