I am a Field Welder and Pipefitter for Mark III Construction. My previous welding experience entailed welding repairs on farm equipment, welding pipe fences, and doing minor fabrication work. With the assistance of Mark III I was able to become an ASME certified 6G stick welder. This certification has allowed me on jobs welding pipe from 2"-24" in size and welding structurally as well. Since my certification I've spent a large amount of time in the field welding everything from structural pipe guides and mounts, to large gas lines with regulators and valves, to sulfuric acid transfer lines, gutter downspouts, methanol drains, and leak repairs (from other welders). So far in my time I have not had any leaks, problems, or call backs, and I plan to keep it that way. I am proud of my company and thankful for the opportunities they have given me. Show less

    • HVAC Install Technician
      • Jul 2014 - Dec 2014

While working at Mark III my work entails mainly installation of square and spiral duct work as well as the many other components needed for a properly operating HVAC system. I have a firm understanding of suspension systems and braces needed according to duct type and duct size. I coordinate with co-workers to maintain a productive and safe job site. I interpret plans, complete layout of ductwork, and identify problems that could occur. A general knowledge of materials and tools needed to complete the task at hand as well as thinking ahead for what will be needed to avoid any down time. Being well versed in many trades allows me to understand where future problems may lie, to avoid them, complete my job without the assistance of other trades, and to assure that I am not causing a problematic situation for other trades on the job.
