Roopa interned with us for a 6 week project where she and another colleague did market research with a group of organisations to understand their needs. The scope of the work involved, identifying organisations and managers within those organisations, conducting qualitative interviews, mining the data for insights and compiling a report. We were very pleased with the report and the insights generated. I found Roopa very committed and capable. She is very quick to learn and not afraid of challenges. The report required several iterations based on critical feedback and they were willingly undertaken resulting in a quality end product. I also found her tenacious and resilient. Despite sometimes challenging circumstances she applied herself and grappled with the problem without losing heart. She is a team player and works well collaboratively. An organisation would be lucky to have her. I wish her all the very best.

I first met Roopa as my student in a few courses that I taught in ISDM. Later, she worked for a 6-week internship with me, in Viridus, on a qualitative market research project to understand perspectives around well-being in NGOs in Bengaluru. The objective of the research was to support the launch phase of a program on Well-being and Personal Mastery. Post the internship, Roopa created an M&E project for Viridus as part of her course work. Roopa’s approach to work was very professional, and probably builds on her prior operations experiences. She takes charge of things that are assigned to her and shows the initiative to propose new things. She is disciplined, organised and resourceful. Roopa has perseverance and a quiet determination. She is reflective and systematically applies her learnings. She is a good team player with leadership experience. In Roopa I see a capability for operational excellence. I was very pleased with her performance during the engagements we had. I’m confident that she will make an excellent Program Manager, more so in the education domain given her experience and interests in schools and school development, the well-being of students and staff, and her intervention design skills. As a person, Roopa is honest, open, and seeks help where required. She is sensible and balanced; caring and compassionate.
