I don’t describe Ron Petrie as one of the brightest minds in the physical security industry to boost his ego – I do it because it’s a fact (and no one has questioned me yet)! I met Ron in 2014 while I was learning a niche vertical market – critical infrastructure – and its need for perimeter security solutions. What I quickly appreciated about Ron as a perimeter intrusion detection specialist was his integrity and enthusiasm to help me learn. The more I showed interest, the more willing he was to teach me. That gift of knowledge developed into successful business and a respected friendship; I take it as the greatest compliment when Ron asks me to mentor our next generation of security industry leaders. He is humble, generous and wise, and collaborates effectively to strategize and empower colleagues, technology partners, consultants and customers to develop and position integrated solutions that solve unique business risks and challenges within our nation’s most vital sectors. Ron has traveled the world designing systems and managing complex projects, but where he shines most is sharing stories not about these adventures, but about his greatest success – his family. Those who have had the pleasure of working with Ron immediately recognize the WOW factor he authentically possesses (though his humility won’t like reading this!).
