My responsibilities as Geodesist at T2ue. includes either the planning of a Geodetic Control Project or the review and approval of the Geodetic Control Project. I also train the crews in Geodetic Leveling Procedures, field operations which include monument site selection, setting deep rod marks, writing NGS structure descriptions and putting them into a computer readable format using the NGS Program WINDESC. I then train the level crews in all aspects of running Geodetic Levels to the Specifications and Standards as established by NGS and approved by the Federal Geodetic Control Subcommittee. I also train both PLS's and Technicians how to process the level data collected in the field to ensure the data meets all requirements as specified in the Input Formats and Specifications of the National Geodetic Survey Data Base - "NGS Blue Book" for submittal to NGS for inclusion in the National Spatial Reference System. As part of my duties I provide the Quality Assurance and Quality Control for all aspects of the survey ensuring the Client is getting what they requested
