Also responsible for carrying out Accident Investigations to determine root cause, advise remedial actions to prevent reoccurrence and deal with any resulting insurance claims using evidence collected during the accident investigations. My role as Health and Safety advisor also involved working with the Carillion Utilities Safety Action Group (SAG) charged with promoting cultural change in creating a positive health and safety culture through promotion of Behavioural Based Safety. I was also Evidence Co-ordinator for Carillion’s Knowledge Bank helping to identify, collect supporting evidence and promote best practices and innovations which can be used to improve site safety and show continuous improvement in health and safety upon all Carillion sites.
