Major Achievements: Provided technical and project management for the expansion and redesign of the $35M Potomac Center at 550 12th Street, S.W., for the JBG Companies. Expanded the 8 story 260,000SF building into an 11 story 445,000SF headquarters building for FEMA(GSA). Project required multiple early release packages to meet program goals. The 1968 precast and concrete building was demolished down to its skin and structurally modified to accommodate the new floor plate and additional 3 floors. The new blast resistant curtainwall and precast exterior was designed to be consistent with the Department of Justice Level IV security requirements. Project included the exterior plaza, new building lobbies, elevators and state-of-the art communication system.
