Direct 7th grade Band, 8th grade Band, Symphonic Band, and Park Forest Jazz Band. Teach weekly large group rehearsals and semi‐private lessons. Jazz Band has performed at invited festivals at Penn State and State College Area High School, receiving excellent ratings, and students have gone on to perform with Jazz 1 and Jazz 2 at State High within one year. Students perform regular concerts throughout the year, as well as festivals, clinics and guest performances. Students are taught music theory, history, technique, and ensemble, as well as interpersonal skills. I focus on learning as much as possible, having fun, helping shape the whole person, and maintaining high standards for everything. My students deserve it! Show less

Assembled, rehearsed and directed orchestras for multiple performances of Into the Woods (2011), Guys and Dolls (2012) and Legally Blonde: the Musical! (2013). Work was repeatedly hailed as "the best pit orchestra I've ever heard in State College!" Many performers have requested to be called for future orchestras. We have a lot of fun! Shared our learning with two yearly concerts. Also taught weekly Honor Band, and summer Band Camp and lessons. Enrollment in my schools grew 300% in 5 years.
